Coach Michelle Quon returns for her 15th season at LBVBC.  A LBVBC alumna, Coach Quon has gone through the Laguna system and knows what an important role proper training at the club level can play in a player's long term success in the game.  Since beginning her coaching career in 2001, Coach Quon has dedicated herself to helping players become strong, well-rounded, respectful, team players who possess solid fundamentals and a greater understanding of the game.

Coach Quon has spent the past 19 years coaching and training players of a variety ages and abilities, from the collegiate level to beginners.  At the collegiate level, she served as an Assistant Coach at Concordia University (2004).  During that season the Concordia Eagles reached the NAIA Finals for the first time in school history, producing two All-Americans and the NAIA Player of the Year along the way.  She also spent three years at Saddleback College (Head Coach - Women's Indoor and Sand Volleyball Teams, 2013-2015; Assistant Coach - Women's Indoor Volleyball Team, 2008).  While playing professionally in the Netherlands, Coach Quon also trained a women's and a girls' club team in addition to running introductory volleyball clinics at local schools.  Over the past 14 years at LBVBC, Coach Quon has been involved with every age group as well as with LBVBC's weekly clinics.

Prior to coaching, Coach Quon attended UCLA (1997-2001) where she was a four year starter for the Bruins. Upon completing her studies at UCLA, she moved to the mid-west to play professionally for the Chicago Thunder in the inaugural season of the USPV (United States Professional Volleyball) League.  Coach Quon then went on to play in the Netherlands for two seasons where she helped her team capture its first National Championship in club history as well as the Dutch Beker and Super Cup.

Coach Quon received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Business Administration from UCLA (2001) and returned to earn her M.B.A. from The UCLA Anderson School of Management (2008).
